After postponing due to COVID-19 in April, Masters 2020 has finally taken place as per the announced date from November 12-15. After an exciting final round, the 2020 Masters result is out, and Dustin Johnson won his first Masters. Who won the Masters in 2020?
Dustin Johnson won the 2020 Masters golf tournament. It was a historic win for Johnson as he scored the lowest to par in the Masters’ history as well as it is the lowest for any major championship. Moreover, his total score of 268 (-20), which includes the fewest bogeys on all four rounds, is one of the best in the Masters.
Although Johnson was pretty off in the second round, in which he scored 70, while the leader of the second round was Corey Conners with 65 points. Other than that, Dustin Johnson did well in the rest of the three rounds. He confirmed his first green jacket by scoring 68 in the final round.
Dustin Johnson showed his class by playing consecutive 13 bogey-free holes in which he made the birdies on 6, 8, 13, 14, and 15.
Masters 2020 Results
Runner-up Sungjae Im and Cameron Smith were able to put some threats to Johnson on late Sunday.
It was 4th appearance for Cameron Smith at the Masters, and he was steady in the 84th Masters. Earning the second position in the Masters 2020 is Smith’s best career finish on any Major. However, previously his best finish was T4 at the US Open 2015. His total score was 273.
Another runner up Sungjae Im has become the best debut golfer in the Masters with a score of 273. At just 22 years old, he is aggressive, and throughout the week, Im entertained the fans. He finished 22nd at the US open 2020, and becoming the second at the Masters is a huge improvement!
