Jack Nicklaus
80 Years old Nicklaus, nicknamed The Golden Bear, is an American professional golfer, holding the 6 times Masters winning record, which is also a record of most masters wins. Jack turned professional in 1961. After that, he won 117 professional tournaments and was considered one of the greatest golfers of all time. He won 18 Majors, which includes 6 Masters, 5 PGA Championship, 4 US Open, and 3 The Open Championship. Because of these playing records was added to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974. With all the amazing achievements in his bucket, Jack Nicklaus retired in 1977.
Tiger Woods
Who doesn’t know Woods!! He is an American professional golf player who is considered one of the famous athletes of all time and one of the greatest golfers. He won the Masters 5 times and hopefully a few more to come. Furthermore, Woods has uncountable achievements. He is shy of Nicklaus by 3 Majors. Woods won 15 Majors, including 5 Masters, 4 PGA Championship, 3 US Open, and 3 The Open Championship. Furthermore, he has 110 professional wins in his bucket. Woods will be added to the World Golf Hall of Fame in 2021.
Arnold Palmer
Plamer is regarded as one of the most charismatic players in the sport’s history, who won 4 Masters Title in his career. In his more than 50 years of career, Plamer won 95 professional titles along with 7 Major wins. He won many awards during and after his career. The Congressional Gold Medal and Presidential Medal of Freedom are notable among the awards. Arnold was listed in the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974.
Jimmy Demaret
Demaret won the Masters 3 times in 1940, 1947, and 1950. He was the first golfer to win 3 masters. Additionally, in his 32 years of career, Jimmy won 37 professional wins along with few achievements and awards. Demaret was listed in the Hall of Fame in 1983. However, he couldn’t open the US Open, and the best outcome was the 2nd position in 1948.
Sam Snead
Snead is recognized as one of the greatest golfers of all time and was one of the top players in golf ranking for around 40 years. Despite having 142 professional wins, he only won 3 masters. Although, Sam won a record number of 94 gold medals throughout his career by winning the PGA of America Tour. However, unfortunately, the only lacking in his career is he never won any US Open but became runner up four times.
Gary Player
Garry is a professional golfer from South Africa who became the only non-American player to win all four major in his time in the 1960s. Although he was the youngest player to win US Open in 1965, it was broken by Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods later on. The Player won more than 150 professional tournaments over the seven decades and is known as the career Grand Slam.
Nick Faldo
He is the only English player to win multiple Masters. Besides, Faldo was ranked no 1 on the Official World Golf Ranking for 97 weeks in total. Despite having only 41 professional wins, Nick achieved many awards; among all the Golf Hall of Fame and European Tour Order of Merit winner are notable. He is now working as an on-air golf analyst for major golf championships
Phil Mickelson
Mickelson has significant achievements in Masters. However, he struggled for US Open. He won 3 Masters Tournaments, while became 6 times runner up for US Open. Additionally, Phil is one of the twelve players in golf’s history to win three of the four Majors. Another prominent achievement I should mention is that Phil Mickelson had stayed in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking for 25 consecutive years!
